18th April 2024: Paper Presentation at the IEEE Silicon Photonics Conference 2024, Tokyo, Japan.

Our team had the privilege of presenting three impactful posters, showcasing the latest advancements in our silicon nitride based waveguide technology, particularly in the areas of microwave and quantum photonic applications. We are delighted by the response from the international silicon photonics community, recognizing India's progress in the journey from device fabrication to system-level applications.
Congratulations to Ms. Pranita Kumari Swain for her paper titled 'A Cladding Modulated Distributed Bragg Filters in Single Mode Silicon Nitride Waveguide'. This work highlights the importance of the gap between the waveguide core and grating structure in a rib waveguide as a key parameter for achieving sub-nanometer bandwidth with moderate extinction of the DBR filter characteristics. This design is very much useful for on-chip LASER and sensor applications.
Congratulations to Anushka Tiwari for the paper 'A Compact and High-Q Value SiN Microring Resonator for Microwave Photonic Applications'. We achieved a high Q of 1.7 million in a compact multimode rib waveguide based microring and demonstrated tunable microwave photonic bandpass filters (10 - 20 GHz) with a narrow bandwidth of 360 MHz. Additionally, our work showcased the generation of RF signals based on an optoelectronics oscillator loop with a tunable frequency range of 8 - 12 GHz and an impressive sidemode suppression ratio of 42 dB.
Congratulations to Arnab Goswami for his paper 'A SiN Photonic Integrated Circuit for Pump Laser Suppressed Nonlinear Signal Generation'. Through LPCVD of SiN, we developed a 100 mm wafer and demonstrated stimulated Four Wave Mixing in a microring resonator, followed by pump rejection using a specially designed single sidewall multimode Bragg extinction. The attained pump rejection from a single stage DBR exceeds 65 dB, representing a substantial advancement from current demonstrations and greatly benefiting the development of quantum photonic processors.
